“The flowers of this citrus tree are steam distilled. The smell of Neroli is very familiar and is generally uplifting. This oil is widely used by perfumers. Neroli is an anti-depressant, is mildly sedating and can ease insomnia at night. Neroli is a great addition to a skin care product as it softens skin. The cost means that Neroli is generally enjoyed for its scent rather than used for all of the other benefits. Can be added to a massage blend to treat scars and strech marks and those tiny thread veins. It also increases circulation and improves muscle tone. Can be massaged onto the abdomen to treat diarrhea, gas and spasms of the intestines. If well diluted, can be used for a baby with colic.The origin of the name stems from Anne Marie Princess of Nerola, in Italy, who lived there in the 16th century. She used to perfume her gloves and bath water with Neroli.
