May be called Chemotype II
This chemotype is best used to treat bacteria and fungus, especially staph, strep, E.coli, klebs and candida. These are particularly nasty and tend to be recurring and are hard to get rid of. This oil is an effective preventative against all respiratory infections. Use it in a diffusor or steaming water for the whole house or for the sick room to thin mucous and expectorate.
The 1,8 cineole refers to chemistry. This Rosemary is high in an oxide called 1,8 cineole. That component means this essential oil is effective when used for lung congestion. This Rosemary is a good choice when treating respiratory infections with inflamed mucous membranes and increased mucous production. This essential oil is effective as an expectorant and mucolytic. Additional uses are to decrease chronic inflammation and as a skin penetration enhancer.

There are so many anecdotal and traditional uses for Rosemary. Rosemary symbolizes remembrance and is carried by brides and tossed into graves. In 17th century Europe homes were fumigated with Rosemary, Medieval Europe used smoke from smudging Rosemary to fumigate sickrooms. WWII hospitals in France burned Rosemary and Juniper.
