Some inspiration for creating your own Fire sign blend. Direction, enthusiasm and motivation, authority and security.

These essential oils are associated with the Fire element and are suggestions for a simple blend you can make for use in a body oil or bath blend, for blessing an amulet or charm or diffusing when meditating. You may have a few of these in your own collection.

Angelica, Basil, Bay Laurel, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Carrot, Cedar, Cinnamon, Clove, Corriander, Cumin, Frankincense, Ginger, Hyssop, Juniper, Mandarin, Neroli, Nutmeg, Orangel, Petitgrain, Rosemary and Sassafras. I’m certain other lists exist and vary. New Years bonfire

Clearing and setting intention for a space

In the book Aromatherapy and Subtle Energy Techniques, Joni and Ruah offer some great blends for clearing and preparing space for spiritual work. They suggest 5 drops of Cedarwood, 3 of Lemon and 2 of Eucalyptus to clean a space energetically. This could be in preparation for a therapy, a meditation, a new intention or a new use of a space.

Make a wound healing salve by adding 30 drops total, 10 each of Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum) and Lavandin, super (Lavandula x intermedia) to a soft cream base.

What is an extract? Is that an essential oil?
Essential oils are extracted from plant material, the primary method being steam distillation. The term extract is an unspecific term that doesn’t indicate how the plant was treated. An extract can be made with water, alcohol, oil, glycerin or honey.
